1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of ispy.bet (the "Site"), operated by Ian Hudson ("we", "us", "our"). By registering an account or using any part of the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age to register an account. If you are under 13, you must not register or use the Site.
• Users aged 13–17 may register and use Practice Mode only.
• By registering, you warrant that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and your own.
• We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to suspend or delete accounts where eligibility cannot be confirmed.

3. Account Registration & Security

• You may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at admin@ispy.bet if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised, abused, or created in violation of these Terms.

4. Credits

4.1 Practice Credits

Practice Credits are virtual tokens used solely within Practice Mode. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Every new account receives 100 free Practice Credits. Additional Practice Credits may be earned by winning games, hosting games, or watching rewarded advertisements (subject to availability).

4.2 General

• Credits are not transferable between users.
• We reserve the right to correct credit balances where a technical error has caused an incorrect balance.
• Credits may not be used for any purpose other than participating in games on the Site.

5. Game Rules

5.1 Hosting a Game

• As a host, you upload a photograph and nominate a visible object within it as the answer. You set the cost per guess, prize per winner, maximum number of winners, and visibility settings.
• When you create a game, the total prize liability (prize × maximum winners) is immediately deducted from your credit balance and held in escrow. If you cannot cover this amount, the game cannot be created.
• You may end your game manually at any time. Any unclaimed prize escrow is returned to your balance.
• You warrant that any photograph you upload is either your own original work or that you have the right to use it, and that it does not contain illegal content, nudity, or material that could cause offence.
• The answer must be a genuine, visible object in the photograph. Hosting games with misleading or impossible answers is prohibited.

5.2 Guessing

• Each guess costs the number of credits specified by the host. The cost is deducted at the time of submission.
• If your guess is correct, the cost is refunded and the prize is added to your balance.
• If your guess is incorrect, the cost is paid to the host. Credits spent on incorrect guesses are non-refundable.
• Submitting a guess that is identical to one you have previously submitted in the same game is not permitted.
• Guesses are normalised (trimmed, uppercased, and singularised) before comparison. Submitting both the singular and plural of the same word will be treated as a duplicate.

5.3 Answer Validity

Answers submitted by hosts are assessed by an automated AI system. Games may be blocked where the answer is not a real English word, or where the answer does not appear to be visible in the uploaded image. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this assessment and accept no liability for games incorrectly blocked or incorrectly permitted.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or any non-human means to interact with the Site.
• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or reverse-engineer any aspect of the game, credit system, or scoring.
• Collude with other users to gain an unfair advantage.
• Upload photographs containing illegal content, content that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, or content that is defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Site's infrastructure, servers, or databases.
• Create accounts for the purpose of fraud, money laundering, or any other illegal activity.
• Impersonate any other person or entity.

Breach of this section may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to relevant authorities.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site (excluding user-uploaded photographs) — including design, text, graphics, code, and the "I Spy With My Little Eye" game format as implemented here — is the intellectual property of Ian Hudson and is protected by applicable copyright law.

By uploading a photograph, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that photograph on the Site for the duration of the associated game. You retain ownership of the photograph. You warrant that you have the right to grant this licence.

8. Responsible Gaming

We encourage responsible play. If you are concerned about your gaming behaviour, please consider setting personal limits on your activity or taking a break from the Site. You may request account suspension at any time by contacting us at admin@ispy.bet.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ian Hudson shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of credits arising from technical errors, provided we take reasonable steps to investigate and remedy such errors.
• Any loss of profits, loss of data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site.
• Any loss arising from your failure to keep your account credentials secure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, without prior notice.

If your account is terminated due to a breach on your part, any remaining credit balance may be forfeited at our discretion. If your account is terminated without cause, we will make reasonable efforts to return any remaining credit balance to you.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at admin@ispy.bet.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
